Policy and Participation Development Worker ACT Mental Health Consumer Network (ACTMHCN) is a consumer-led community based, incorporated organisation advocating for the interests of people who experience challenges in regard to their mental health (consumers) in the ACT. ACTMHCN is committed to social justice and all practice within the Network is conceived by, with and for consumers. The Network recruits, trains and supports a team of Consumer Representatives to bring ????? ????? collective expertise to all levels of Mental Health Services and other activities that support and broaden this representative role.The Policy and Participation Development Worker (PPDW) will be an enthusiastic and committed person. The person we are looking for will have a professional background in the community services sector and/or policy development. They would ideally have a good understanding of the Mental Health Sector within the ACT. The PPDW will work within a small dedicated team bringing the voices of Mental Health Consumers to services, government and the broader ACT community. Applicants should have tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences or equivalent and/or relevant experience. Applicants should also have a clear understanding of issues challenging marginalised communities and highly developed practices that support working alongside consumers in the delivery of all aspects of the Network. Salary: ACT Community Services Multiple Enterprise Agreement Level 6 - $51,200-53,600 pro-rata depending on skills and experience.
