The Records Operations and Preservation section exists to preserve records of national archival value. This is done through projects and programs designed to keep records in a stable and accessible state over time. Conservation Assistants work with conservators and other preservation staff to carry out activities such as: surveying, examining and repackaging records; repairing ????? ????? out other basic conservation treatments on records; assisting with environmental monitoring; contributing to the development of procedures, guidelines and workflows; and administrative tasks (eg updating databases, reporting and recordkeeping).
Note: These are non-ongoing employment opportunities available for 18 months.
