Change Manager

As well as providing relief in emergency situations, we work on long-term development projects with local communities to address the causes of poverty and help them become self-sufficient. Our mission is to engage Australians in the effort to eliminate poverty and its causes.

    The Office of Strategy Management (OSM) is responsible for the formulation, execution and evaluation of strategy across the entire organisation. As a result of a number of strategic projects being currently undertaken, there is a unique opportunity to join the team in a highly interactive and influential change management position.

    Reporting to the Head of Strategic Change, the role will be responsible for improving execution capabilities through the provision of change management leadership and guidance. The focus will be on major initiatives being undertaken across the organisation and will ensure a consistent approach is being taken in line with WVA’s change management strategy. The role will:

    • Ensure a high level of stakeholder engagement and satisfaction
    • Identify potential risks and solutions
    • Conduct change readiness and impact assessments
    • Develop communication plans
    • Provide regular reports to relevant stakeholders (e.g., project managers)
    • Provide input to training plans

    As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate proven change management experience in effecting organisational change as well as the following key skills and attributes:

    • Degree / post graduate qualification in a change management  related discipline
    • Proven experience in applied  change management theory, methodologies and tools
    • Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of project management methodologies
    • An ability to work autonomously while engaging with large numbers of internal and external stakeholders
