As well as providing relief in emergency situations, we work on long-term development projects with local communities to address the causes of poverty and help them become self-sufficient. Our mission is to engage Australians in the effort to eliminate poverty and its causes.
Our Knowledge & Information Technology team seeks to partner with all areas of the organisation in providing services and solutions that will enable WVA to meet its strategic goals. Currently there is an exciting opportunity for a suitably skilled professional to join the Professional Services team as a Business Analyst.
This role will be a crucial link between the business and the IT function for a diverse range of process or system change initiatives.
In detail the role will:
• Identify, analyse and map business processes
• Provide clarity to key stakeholders around processes and requirements
• Develop business requirements, scope statements and proposals at a macro level
• Coordinate the implementation of business initiatives
• Develop project documentation
As the successful applicant you will have proven BA experience and have been involved in effecting strategic and cultural change across an organisation.
In addition you will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
• Degree in Information Systems Management or similar discipline
• Experience in the System Development Life Cycle
• Sharepoint and/or Document Management System experience highly desirable
• ITIL, Prince 2 or PMP, and Lean Six Sigma knowledge/certification held in high regard
• Strong communication, negotiation, facilitation and presentation skills
• Project Management skills/experience
• Be proactive yet team orientated
