World Vision is Australia’s largest overseas aid and humanitarian organisation. As well as providing relief in emergency situations, we work on long-term development projects with local communities to address the causes of poverty and help them become self-sufficient. Our mission is to engage Australians in the effort to eliminate poverty and its causes.
The Office of Strategy Management (OSM) is responsible for the formulation, execution and evaluation of strategy across the entire organisation. Due to internal progression, an opportunity exists for a proven strategist to join the OSM team.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, the Senior Manager will be responsible for providing project management leadership and guidance in order to improve execution capabilities on strategic projects across the organisation. This will be complimented by assisting with the redesign of the operating model in order to build the organisational capabilities required for future success. In addition the role will assist in the development, refinement, communication and review of the corporate strategic plan.
As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate proven experience in strategy formulation and managing transformational change initiatives across an organisation. In addition you will possess the following key skills and attributes:
• Degree in a relevant business discipline
• Outstanding analytical and synthesis skills
• Work proactively and autonomously and have an ability to prioritise
• Exemplary communication and presentation skills at all levels
• Ideally possess a background in management consulting
