The School of Accounting, Economics and Finance is one of five Schools in the Faculty of Business and Law. The appointee will provide leadership in teaching, research, consulting, industry partnerships and professional activities and promote the School as a whole within the relevant academic and professional communities in Australia and internationally.
The appointee will lead discrete areas of scholarship in any area of accounting research and will champion the strategic directions of the School, the Faculty and the University.
Responsibilities
- the provision of academic leadership in teaching and research
- program and course development, maintenance and delivery, ensuring relevance and curriculum quality
- teaching, research, scholarly publication and the generation of research funding
- promote the discipline of Accounting by forging strong relationships with professional groups, government and non-government organisations, overseas institutions, other academics, industry and the wider community
- work with other disciplines within the School and the Faculty and support the overall objectives of the School, the Faculty and the University
