The Faculty of Business and Law is seeking an outstanding academic leader to provide strong and innovative leadership for the Deakin Business School.  The Deakin Business School provides major postgraduate business programs including MBA courses and an Executive Development program.

The Faculty of Business and Law comprises of five Schools; it is one of four faculties within Deakin University and one of the largest of its kind in Australia with undergraduate and postgraduate students studying on campus in Melbourne, Geelong and Warrnambool, or by distance throughout Australia and internationally.

The appointee will be responsible for:

• The provision of academic leadership in teaching and research
• Program and course development, maintenance and delivery, ensuring relevance and curriculum quality
• Promoting the discipline area by forging strong relationships with professional groups, government and non-government organisations, overseas institutions, other academics, industry and the wider community
• Contributing to the ongoing development and administration of the School and Faculty, including undertaking significant line management responsibility for trans-team endeavours in disciplinary areas
• Foster research activities in the discipline area across the Faculty and University, and in so doing contribute to scholarly publication, the generation of research funding and the supervision of honours and postgraduate research students.
