A large not for profit organisation providing supported accommodation and community access services for people with disabilitiesacross the North Western and Northern half of Tasmania is seeking to fill the position of Executive Director.

Responsible to The Board of Management
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for direct liaison with any Government Authority and for compliance with any Act or Regulations applicable to the operations of the organisation, it's services and activities.
Manage and provide strategic direction and professional leadership for the management team.
Provide the Board of Management with relevant and timely reports on the financial affairs of the organisation and it's current and projected financial position.
The design, implementation and management of a robust, quality assured operational framework that meets the Standards of service in accordance with the State Disabilities Services Act 1992 and the Quality and safety Standards Framework.
Ensure that funding agreements are negotiated, executed and managed effectively in accordance with documented outcomes.
Manage the day to day functions of the organisation and operate in accordance with the philosophy, objects, purpose and rules of the association and it's constitution.
Other duties as per the full position description and Board of Management requirements.
Essential Requirements
A minimum of five years management experience
The ability to demonstrate outstanding communication skills with a diverse range of employees, stake holders, government departments and the general public.
Must provide a satisfactory National Police check and two references relevant to the position on offer.
Demonstrate effective time management skills including the ability to determine priorities and work within effective time frames.
Current drivers licence
Flexibility to travel state wide as required.
Previous experience in disabilities services preferred
Selection Criteria
Proven ability to understand and interpret basic accounting principles
Proven skill and comprehensive understanding of human resource management and statutory requirements governing HR.
Proven ability to understand, interpret and comply with contractual Agreements with Government bodies.
Proven skill and understanding of Government funding and contracts
Proven ability to identify, foster and nurture positive relationships to advance organisational goals
Proven ability in business planning and development
