Responsibilities will include contract and project management, provide technical backup, coordinate and oversee technical and design staff, provide an asset management approach to Council’s infrastructure and manage RTA and other contracts.
You will have at least five years recent and relevant industry experience, tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering ????? ????? eligible for Corporate Membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia. Other requirements include knowledge and experience in project and contract management and proven leadership ability. Previous experience in road construction and maintenance and asset management and design would be an advantage.
Successful applicants will have excellent communication and computer skills, management of staff, a strong business acumen at both strategic and operational levels and an ability to apply risk management and EEO principles in decision making processes.
Council offers generous working conditions including a 35 hour week, a 9 day fortnight, 6 weeks annual leave, salary packaging and contribution to removal costs.
