This exciting position will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service delivery in the Sustainable Environment Department throughout Hume City.
Co-ordinating the Sustainable Environment Department in the development and delivery of land use planning, and natural resource management projects you will support Council’s aim of being a leader in sustainable environmental management. Ideally you have proven experience and demonstrate confidence, initiative and drive. The role also manages a number of direct reports.
Pivotal to this role will be your ability to assist the Manager Sustainable Environment by effectively engaging the broader stakeholder community and managing a variety of exciting environmental programs, initiatives and strategies such as community engagement and action programs, reduction plans for waste, energy, carbon, monitoring programs and securing grant funding for new environment projects.
You will exhibit an awareness of environmental issues and be able to demonstrate:
