Principal Statutory Planner

Experienced, motivated and resourceful Statutory Planner sought to undertake a senior level contract opportunity at Council within this major growth area for a fixed term contract covering maternity leave. Dealing with a variety of complex development applications, as well as providing support and guidance to more junior planners your duties will include:
- Assessing and processing complex applications for a variety of developments across the municipality including residential, commercial, industrial, retail, mixed use and subdivisions
- Providing pre-application advice to applicants
- Undertaking public consultation and mediation when necessary
- Representing council at hearings and tribunal
- Supporting Team Leaders in the management and mentoring junior staff
