Environmental Officer – FIFO Perth (Jundee)


We are looking for someone with mining industry leadership experience in a 2IC environmental role. You will be suitably tertiary qualified and have demonstrated experience in consistently achieving targets.

Key responsibilities for the position

* Coordinate, Develop and Implement elements of the site Environmental Management System (EMS) including: Water, Hydrocarbon, Non Mineral Waste, Waste Rock, Air Quality, Energy and Greenhouse, Closure, Chemical and Biodiversity Management.
* Assist with the coordination and implementation of ISO14001 and OSHAS 18001.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory environmental requirements.
* Undertake reporting of Operational Compliance issues and Management of Environmental Projects.
* Lead and Participate in Audits and Risk Reviews of Environmental Risks.
* Develop and manage environmental improvement programs
* Participate in presenting and developing Training and Awareness activities to the site


You will need a Higher Education qualification in Environment (e.g. Environmental Science/Natural Resource Degree) and a minimum of 3 years Environmental experience on a mine site as it would be essential to the success of this position. A lead Auditors certificate and a Senior First Aid certificate would also be very desirable.
