Account Manager Sheet & Coil, Hemmant

  • OneSteel Sheet and Coil is an Australia-wide distributor of coated and uncoated steel sheet and coil products. Each of our locations has significant warehousing capacity as well as state of the art processing technology. This processing includes slitting and shearing ????? ????? products. We now have a unique opportunity for a highly driven Account Manager to join our team. This role is based in Hemmant and predominately focused on businesses north of the Brisbane River and the mid southern Metropolitan area.

    This is a largely autonomous position where you will be responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships with an existing customer base while always alert to new customer opportunities therefore it is essential that you have previous account management experience. Your job satisfaction will come through converting customer needs into a value proposition and having your sales plan already developed. You have a passion for selling and enjoy the challenge of a competitive market. Your high energy apporach to all apects of your job will ensure you gain satisfaction from this role. You may have gained your understating of this market segment through previous experience in the sheet metal, ducting or roll forming industries.

    You will be responsible for a wide range of sales activities including preparing ????? ?????, submitting tenders, negotiating sales contracts and working to the established sales budget. You will deal with people internal and external to OneSteel but always with the highest level of professionalism that is expected of all our staff. You will understand that fostering ????? ????? customer relationships is vital to your success. Meeting our promises to customers is a core value for the way we do business in OneSteel and the candidate selected for this account manager role will be expected to adopt this core value. As an Account Manager you accept and thrive on the responsibility of ownership of your accounts. Less than 100% customer satisfaction is unacceptable to you.

    You will have:

    • A demonstrated track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets
    • Demonstrated sales experience gained within a similar industry
    • Demonstrated ability to form sound relationships
    • Highly developed communications skills
    • A relevant tertiary qualification would be well regarded
    • Sheet and coil product knowledge and previous experience in the steel distribution markets or related industries will be highly regarded
    • Prior knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
