We need a person who can assist in the growth of the business and service equipment. Based in the Jubilee area your role will be varied and exciting. This is a technical service and support role it will involve client site visits plus office duties.
The product is lasers which are mainly used and installed at jewellery stores and dental laboratories.
The main functions of this role are to install laser welders at client’s premises plus train clients to use the laser. This normally takes a few hours at the client’s premises. Clients are based all over Australia. There will be full training to do this. Not a very technical procedure. Typically there will be 2 installations to do every month.
You will also respond to technical questions from clients and solve any technical problems. Technical problems are solved / diagnosed by asking the client a series of questions about what the laser is doing, and then emailing this to the manufacturers in USA. There will be full training but an understanding of electronics is ideal.
As the onsite point of contact for the business, your presentation and customer service skills will be equally important as your technical skills.
Training in laser technology will be provided, however, the ideal person should have knowledge of electronics ideally with qualifications.
The ideal person for this role will have the following:
- Ideally a background in Electronics.
- TAFE qualified, with 3+ years working experience.
- Customer service skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent written communications skills
- Excellent presentation skills.
