Production Planner - Food industry

This leading food manufacturer has established itself in a niche market and continues to enjoy healthy and steady growth. A new position has been created for an experienced Production Planner to join their Sunshine Coast plant.
The main purpose of the role is to maintain an appropriate and achievable production plan in accordance with sales demand, as well as providing appropriate shop floor control documentation to the manufacturing ????? ?????.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Workplace injury statistics €“ reduction in workplace LTI, MTI and injuries
- Maintain a cost effective manufacturing ????? ????? advise over/under loading
- Undertake training in accordance with own individual training and development program as identified with direct manager
- Maintain effective customer relations
- Provide a realistic and achievable production schedule to the factory in accordance with sales demand
- Ensure adherence to critical operational timelines
- Implement and adhere to production processes that support continuity throughout operations
- Ensure rigid adherence to relevant procedures, processes across production function
- Promote effective communication across business departments
- Comply with applicable legislation and Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate files and data for production plan and sales orders as appropriate
- Ensure timely updates for critical information- lead time, delivery delays, sales orders, transport data etc
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Experience in scheduling function within manufacturing ????? ?????
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High level of literacy and numeracy
- Computer literacy using Microsoft office suite
- S&OP process understanding
- Knowledge of MRPII principles
