This dynamic and growing Southside transport company is currently seeking a Depot Manager to work closely with the Operation Director in Melbourne. A medium sized company that focuses on customer service and efficiency. .

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Depot Manager will be responsible for:

15 - 20 Direct Reports
Ensure timely arrival & departure of linehaul services to facilitate appropriate arrival times in receiving depots & by customers
Oversee Fleet Control - with a focus on continuously maximising efficiency
Monitor costs and capacity utilisation
Arrange daily and weekly labour
Manage customers needs and contracts
Develop and maintain a planned maintenance schedule for the fleet & plant/equipment

Ideally you will display a history working within a similar role within transport, with skills in staff management and development.

You will need to be customer focused and always working to improve and development the team and the operation.

Experience with express freight is essential.

This would be an ideal role for a hands on operational depot manager looking to further their career.
