Production Planner

Hays Manufacturing & Operations is partnered with one of Australia's largest building and construction materials manufacturers. With plants throughout the country, they have firmly established themselves in Australia's market. Times have been tough in this current economy, but the business has remained strong and is now in a position to add to their team. A Production Planner is required to take control of all production planning functions for their entire site. The main responsibilities for this role include: - Ensure a safe working environment at all times
- Scheduling of manufacturing ????? ????? meet production targets in line with business objectives
- Generating and maintaining the master schedule as well as management of any exceptions that arise
- Balance production and demand to service target customer service levels whilst driving supply network reductions in cash, cost and improvements to customer service.
- Generating work schedules for raw materials to support the finished goods plan
- Maintain continuous availability of required materials in the most efficient quantities through careful communication and liaison with internal stakeholders
- Management of production and co-ordination of finished goods supply to guarantee on time delivery of promised orders
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate - Previous background in production planning/scheduling
- High volume manufacturing ????? ?????, with background in building/construction products necessary
- Advanced computer skills including MS Excel, MS Access and ERP/MRP systems
- APICS Qualification
- Ability to understand complex manufacturing ????? ????? chain processes
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff from tradespeople to senior management
- Supervision & leadership experience
- Experience in timber based products will be well regarded.
