This is a great opportunity to work for a global leader in providing internet based IT services. The current requirement is for a Senior Systems analyst/developer (Java).

Initially you will be analysing potential new client software, working to the design phase and then development.
You will define the architecture and integration requirements for new and existing projects so that they are clearly and concisely documented and engineered to effectively meet the organisation's needs. This role will also create design documents for integration of new technologies and where required, help develop these solutions through to their implementation.

Duties;

• Design and document integrated solutions for off-the-shelf technology and custom development projects.
• Document and walk through the solution design at a standard suitable for an experienced programmers or senior hardware engineers to implement
• Assist with planning the implementation system changes including providing estimates
• Assist in the development of the prepared solutions to achieve the outcomes identified.
• Where applicable evaluate tender responses and make recommendations.
• Preparation of proposals for system enhancements and new business opportunities
• Provide quality oversight and trouble-shooting of implementation activities
• Assist with the development of system test scenarios
• Analysis of process and application problems and the possible solutions to such problems
• Provide support as directed for production programs and applications
• Clearly and concisely communicate with clients, project managers, developers and hardware engineers.

Required Experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare high quality documentation.
• Demonstrated commercial systems analyst or solutions architecture experience as well as commercial experience in JEE/Java and related technologies (Spring, Quartz, iBatis, JMS, TestNG).
• Good understanding of LDAP and directory services.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Experience with integrating different technologies with JEE.
• Experienced in UML design and associated tools.
• Experience with Software Development Processes
