A major Qld organisation seeks to appoint a Senior Policy Officer. Based in Brisbane the purpose of this role is to provide a high level of expert advice to Management and other key stakeholders on the following;

development of long-term contractual arrangements across the business.

overarching regulatory and economic framework.

market and pricing arrangements applicable to the business.
Your responsibilities are inclusive of;
-
Providision of commercial and policy input into the development of business market contracts to ensure the achievement of effective outcomes.

Liaise with and provide expert advice to management in developing the economic regulatory, pricing, and market arrangements to apply to the designated market.

Provide expert advice and high level strategic policy advice on the preparation of strategic policy documents.

Build and manage positive working relationships and partnerships with clients and stakeholders in a complex and sensitive business environment.

Provide regular progress reports to the Management team and where necessary identify issues requiring policy direction, resource allocation and support from senior management.

Liaise, consult and negotiate with other business divisions and their representative bodies or groups.
Tertiary qualifications in Economics or a related discipline are needed.
