This Senior Civil/Structural Engineer provides high level technical support and some supervision in relation to design and engineering services for civil and structural engineering projects including earthworks, roads, dams, drainage, water supply and buildings.

Specific Responsibilities
- Identify the requirements for engineering input into procurement and construction contract packages
- Ensure all civil and structural engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices.
- Prepare schedules for design work and allocating physical and human resources to enable civil and structural engineering projects to be completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor progress and initiating remedial action where required to ensure civil and structural engineering projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide high level technical support for all civil and structural engineering project work as required.
- Supervise preparation of preliminary and detailed designs, specifications and documentation for all civil and structural engineering project work and ensure project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works.
- Supervise preparation of documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitor regimes in respect of work on or around civil and structural engineering projects.
- Liaise with other department engineers and draftspersons to ensure project goals are met.
- Provide input to the civil / structural engineering budget and address any variances from budget
- Participate in technical reviews of all procurement and construction contract packages.
- Provide progress monitoring and reporting as required
- Undertake scope control and trending of scope changes as needed
- Undertake engineering support for the contracts
- Meet assigned dates for engineering deliverables

Qualifications
Tertiary Civil/Structural engineering qualifications minimum 5 years previous experience on EPCM Projects.
