The client, a reputable global consulting firm, immediately requires a Highways Design Manager. You will be required to provide advanced highway design guidance whilst also possessing the ability to build new and strengthen existing client relationships within the Transportation business unit, based in Brisbane.

Due to ambitious yet realistic strategic growth plans you will be required to lead and grow a profitable team of highway engineers and designers. Your key areas of responsibility will include project control, client and sub-contractor management and overall delivery of major highway projects based in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. Technically, you will backed up by the global transportation unit's resources, enabling high quality planning and execution of projects.

With strong communication skills you must be willing and able to deal comfortably with local and state clients, senior management and an existing design team. A tertiary engineering ????? ????? mandatory as you will be required to certify drawings and contract documents regularly.

Proficiency in 12D, MX or Inroads is highly beneficial.

As the ideal candidate you will possess a consistent track record in either a consulting or contracting environment, ideally within Queensland.

You must be able to demonstrate advanced skills in Geometric and alignment design, scheme appraisals, earthworks, pavement design and contract documentation.
