Talent2 have been working closely with one of Australia's leading Civil Contractors to gain a true understanding of what makes their PM's and Senior PE's really stand out and deliver as well as feel valued and rewarded.
They are now actively looking to employ an experienced Senior Project Engineer to work initially on a Road and Earthworks project in SE Queensland whilst being earmarked for their own major project/package of works as Project Manager.
It is essential you have experience of one or all of the following; Rail, Roads, Tunnelling or RC and are now looking to lead your own package of works/project.
Your role will encompass traditional site based project management duties, guiding and directing your PE team as well as working very closely with both Consulting and Client. Critically you must demonstrate the maturity to be client focused and appreciate their needs, manage requirements and be commercially astute.
You will be responsible for all contractual requirements including schedule, financial, performance, design amendment and construction. Demonstrable experience in all facets of project delivery in the Heavy Civil sector is the key to you evolving and progressing in this role.
While Project Management experience within bulk earthworks/Roads/RC Structures is desirable, all candidates with a very solid Civils Project Management background will be considered. Experience of dealing with Main Roads is preferred.
Key to the role is demonstrating you are a career oriented individual, able to build and foster outstanding performance within the project team (direct and indirect reports) and utilise the experience of the Project Directors and Alliance Managers to develop your knowledge.
