Our client is placed within the top tier of design consultancy firms in Australia. This organisation has in excess of twenty five years of of experience Government organisations, Institutions, Schools and education providers as well as high end corporate organisations. The company is now looking to expand its operations into the Asian marketplace.
Based in Singapore, a fantastic opportunity currently exists for a Design Manager to join the team. The main focus of this position will be to lead this expansion and deliver interior design solutions for major projects. The position offers a high degree of autonomy, the chance to grow a team and the chance to run projects from initial client brief through to completion.

POSITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend client meetings, receive briefs and minute meetings.
- Prepare concept designs, presentation boards and graphic illustrations.
- Space planning, design development and detail documentation.
- Undertake surveys including measure, photos, inventory and preparation reports.
- Liaise with client to understand requirements and provide solutions.
- Prepare concept designs for projects and potential projects including 3D images and rendering ????? ????? freehand and AutoCad.
- Design development including joinery requirements, finishes and colour schemes, furniture selection, FF&E requirements including presentation boards and schedules as required.
- Liaise with Engineers and other specialists in technical areas concerned with fire, hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, communications and structural design.
- Organise supplied products and prepare detailed instructions for tradespeople.
- General administration duties and assistance in other areas when and if required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Tertiary qualifications in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or similar.
- Very good AutoCad skills preferably in 3D.
- Profficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Leadership skills with the ability to run a small team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good personal presentation.
- Current knowledge of BCA, Australian Standards, OH&S, ID and DDA regulations and requirements.
- Existing knowledge and contacts within the Singapore marketplace with an understanding of building codes in this area.
