This growing Coal Mining Company is currently searching for a Mine Site Accountant to run the financials of their expansive Open Cut Coal Mine.

Reporting to the General Manager on-site with a dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer in the Corporate Head Office, you will be responsible mainly for the commercial aspects of the Mine Site as there are two junior Accountants who will report to you and undertake most of the monthly financials.

Your main duties will be:

• Overseeing the monthly financials
• Analysis of new projects
  Cost control
• CapEx and OpEx
• Scenario, NPV and IRR Analysis

This is a key commercial role which offers both excellent experience in a Mine Site location, and close proximity to civilisation. Working and living in a large town far removed from the 'dongers' and RSL's of the Bush, you are also only a drive away from the city on the weekends.

The career progression opportunities are vast as the company prepares to acquire more Mines and enlarge it's current assets. You will be involved in the M&A Accounting and pre-feasibility analysis for the company and as you grow with the role will be offered regular promotion.
Within a couple of years they would see this person performing a Commercial Managers role in the Corporate Head Office.

This role is suited for Accountants who have on-site Mining Industry experience, who enjoy their roles and want to remain in the Industry but would prefer a more populous location and more commercial responsibility.
