As a Purchasing Officer you will be responsible for the integrity, efficiency and profitability for your division specifically:
- Develop strategic systems and procedures for efficient purchasing.
- Purchasing of various products from a range of suppliers.
- Scheduled stock takes, monitor and manage inventory database.
- Efficient practice of stock rotation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
The ideal candidate is required to have extensive experience in the following areas:
- Logistics coordination
- Intermediate Excel and Office skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Purchasing Experience within a high volume environment (food products desirable)
- Health, Safety & Environmental best practice.
The right candidate with be highly driven, have an ability to think on their feet and work well under pressure. A high level of attention to detail is a must and experience with in the food industry is a desirable attribute. Experience within Inventory control and or Materials control, raw materials or finished goods would also be considered.
