One of Brisbane’s oldest and most successful law firms is seeking a Partner to join their Commercial Business Services team.
With 9 Partners and 100 staff in total they are widely recognised by clients and peers as a progressive business law firm and whilst they are large enough to attract quality clients from blue chip global and Australian household names, they are small enough to maintain the values of small firm culture upon which the firm was founded.
As a leader within the Commercial Business Services team, you may be involved in the provision of a broad range of legal matters including:
- Corporations Law and corporate governance;
- ASX Listing Rules;
- Tax and Stamp Duty issues (including GST);
- Business Structures;
- Business sales and acquisitions;
- Capital raising and floats;
- Managed investment schemes;
- Financing and security documentation;
- Joint ventures and strategic alliances;
- Takeovers and mergers;
- Due diligence matters;
- Franchising and licence agreements;
- Energy;
- Commercial contracts; and
- Trade practices
Applicants will need to demonstrate experience, commercial acumen and sound legal skills in Commercial Law as well as strong self motivation, the ability to work autonomously within a small team environment and a level of proactively in further developing their practice.
