Test Analyst

  • A contract opportunity exists for a Test Analyst to assume responsibility for the scheduling and coordination of testing activities - including test planning, test case preparation, test data preparation, environment preparation, test execution, defect management and issue resolution.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Identify testing scenarios, and review and assess test coverage;
    • Develop and execute detailed test cases to confirm application against requirements;
    • Prepare testing assets and execute test cases for system testing, system integration testing, and UAT;
    • Work with both the Project and Business Teams to deliver work items against aggressive schedule;
    • Support UAT activities; and
    • Work in accordance to the I-TPP test framework and software testing best practices.
    • Prepare System Test Plan;
    • Test Objective Matrix and recorded traceability to requirements;
    • Identification and documentation of Test Scenarios;
    • Development and execution of Test Cases;
    • Recording of test results and raising of defect records;
    • Provision and documentation of thoroughly tested code that is fit for purpose; and
    • Provision and documentation of Summarised Test Results.
     
    Skill set required:
    • Five (5) years plus proven experience proven experience within a structured testing domain - working within project, operational support, and/or corporate testing regimes is mandatory.
    • Experience of Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) is mandatory, whilst additional experience of collaborative and iterative working using agile methodologies would be favourable;
    • Demonstrated experience of test plan and test case preparation, and test execution for functional and non-functional testing within system testing, system integration testing, and UAT test phases;
    • High standard of written and oral communication skills;
    • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members;
    • Demonstrated experience in testing over Microsoft technologies and Java J2EE, Oracle, Webservice and MQSeries technologies; and
    • Solid experience in system testing of solution interfaces and non-functional testing such as failover & recovery, and audit & security testing. Additionally, significant experience of data conversion and reconciliation would be favourably considered.
