Our client, a large Tertiary Healthcare provider, is seeking five (5) highly qualified and experienced Senior Nurse Clinicians to join them for an exciting 2 year contract opportunity.
**They will be conducting face-to-face interviews in PERTH & BRISBANE in NOVEMBER 2009**
Reporting directly into the Assistant Director (Nursing) this successful applicants will coordinate and implement care, teaching and counselling plans. In addition you will be responsible for clinical practice, patient education and staffing competency in specialised areas.
The successful applicants main duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care of patients with complex healthcare needs - inline with updated nursing standards
conduct counselling for patients and their families/carers
develop and drive appropriate patient programs
ensure patient care delivery is carried out according to established standards of care
update and maintain patient consultation and training register
act as a resource person to colleagues in relation to speciality training matters
develop and implement staff education initiatives, perform appraisals and coach/mentor staff
To be successful for this role you must be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience, of which a minimum of 2 years should have been spent in the relevant speciality.
In addition you will hold a Diploma or Degree in Nursing and a post-basic qualification in the speciality. We are seeking applicants who are technically competent, possesses good communication skills and an intermediate skill level in MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
