Rail Systems Engineer ? Brisbane

Our client is a leading railway signalling and controls specialist who due to unprecedented growth has an immediate requirement for a Rail Systems Engineer to join their Marketing and Sales team based in Brisbane.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Regular assessment of mainstream and emerging technologies in controls, communications and information systems.
• Maintain and update generic documentation for base platform product and all applications targeted to run on this platform.
• Prepare specific responses to requests for Tender or Quotation from Vendors, including pricing estimates and material acquisition schedules.
• Assist with the development of presentation and other marketing materials.
• Attend seminars and maintain regular contact with vendors.
• Review and respond to routine commercial terms and conditions in relation to Tenders and customers standard conditions of purchase.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Qualifications in Electronics or Electro-mechanical engineering ????? ????? in Control Systems or related discipline
• Strong knowledge of Railway Industry particularly underlying technology used in to provide solutions
• Extensive knowledge and experience in SCADA systems and/or signal equipment and signalling systems and their application in an arduous industrial environment
• Ability to develop strong customer relationships
