SENIOR STRUCTUAL FOREMAN

Our client is an Australian owned company that specialises in major engineering and civil construction works. They offer a complete engineering, construction and project management service to local, national and internationally based clients working within Australia.

 Core Competencies include the following:

• Relevant experience and qualifications in the Civil Engineering Industry
• Experience in concrete finishing works
• Ability to work closely with Subcontractors and Suppliers
• Safety Supervisor qualifications desirable
• Workzone traffic management training desirable
• Senior First Aid certificate

You will be required to have an overall understanding of the Company Quality System, its objectives and to comply with the responsibilities listed in the project specific Quality, Safety and Environmental Plans.

Role Requirements:

Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling of both structural and finishes trades, materials & site safety inductions and overseeing the finished quality of works.

• Co-ordination and control of site operations
• Preparation of daily diary and time sheets
• Implementation of inspection and test plans
• Site Safety Officer / Investigate and report incidents/accidents
• Attend weekly team meetings & Conduct weekly toolbox meetings
• Check that all plant is safe / Participate in regular safety audits and inspections
• Conduct daily site safety & environmental inspections and record in site diary
• Attend site meetings as required
• Ensure that contractors and their employees comply with their company Project Safety Plan and Procedures

This position will involve travel throughout the state on a regular basis for project duration.

The successful candidate will have excellent time management, organisation and planning skills, a good level of written and verbal communication skills will be critical in dealing with various site stakeholders.

A salary package will be negotiated reflecting your level of previous experience in a Foreman role.
