A leading mid-tier civil contractor with a solid history of operating and constructing a diverse range of projects across South East Queensland are looking to expand their civil engineering team. This client has a strong and loyal client base of both Private & Government clients, ensuring new and repeat business. This contractor have over 40 years of experience in Alliance & Joint Venture partnerships, due to excellent reputation in the market and holding a F6 pre-qualification to tender on DMR projects up to the value of $100M.

This civil contractor certainly is an employer of choice and increasing its size and capabilities to become a leading mid-tier Queensland construction contractor.

Due to the awarding of a Brisbane project, the client is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to be part of their highly experienced civil team, the role could be better described as a Junior Project Manager due to the responsibilities and the on the job training thats provided.

The project will be a project built for the Dept. Main Roads and you will be based on site to ensure project is completed on time and to budget.  Your day to day activities will be to work as an assistant to the highly experienced Project Manager who has overall management of the contract.

To be successful in your application, ideally you will have:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years civil construction project experience.
• Knowledge of the specifications Main Roads, RTA, Vic Roads, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Work well as part of a team but also perform when working autonomously.
• Experience in managing sub contractors, QA & QC Docs.
• Commitment to a high standard of health and safety.
