My client an international infrastructure consultant has immediate requirements for Design Managers due to a variety of project wins. The successful candidate will have experience in metro systems & be responsible for managing budgets & schedules, managing & leading design teams, reviewing proposed designs, developing design remits & working with bid/tender teams.
You will be responsible for liaising with all parties to ensure that the design process runs smoothly by ensuring ????? ????? design teams meet key deliverables. You will work closely with the client to ensure acceptance of the designs and to ensure that the process is delivered on time & to budget.
You will have a minimum 15 years experience in Rail Design & extensive experience in leading & managing teams of design engineers. You will demonstrate experience of project principles in planning & scheduling, cost control or contract administration. You will have knowledge of report preparation techniques. Suitable experience and qualifications in development and management of engineering ????? ?????, preferably in a metro rail environment. Sound awareness and understanding of political and industrial constraints and issues affecting the industry, while being an expert in rail track and or infrastructure design management.
You will coordinate specific projects & work packages within a project, prepare & maintain cost control. You will provide effective management of assigned design packages undertaken within your Network Development Department. You will consult with external agencies on critical issues that impact on projects & achieve agreement on the most appropriate course of action that meets pre-determined objectives.
