This role for Principal Mechanical Engineer is responsible for leading & developing the mechanical discipline for the Brisbane mining & industrial team of this global consultancy.  Taking on the management of the existing team, you will be responsible for technical leadership and resource allocation for current projects, as well as recruitment for forecasted workload.

Our client has gained a reputation globally for the successful delivery of major engineering projects, and with the capability of a talented EPCM group in Brisbane, they have positioned themselves as a leading choice for minerals, metals & infrastructure projects in Australia.

Skills / qualifications required:

• Degree qualification - Mechanical
• Strong background in heavy industrial & materials handling design
• Extensive experience in the execution & management of mining & minerals processing projects
• Significant experience in a lead technical role
• Ability to work closely and communicate with Project Managers and other disciple leads
• Strong commercial acumen
