As an Electrical Project Engineer your key responsibilities will include:
Responsibility for the compilation of the Daily report to the Head office Lead Electrical Engineer;
Initiating and closing out of technical queries and technical concessions;
Reviewing, familiarizing and implementing project technical specifications, design specifications and related control procedures;
Preparing sketches and engineering calculations, minor design calculations for cable ladder/equipment supports and cable-selection as a minimum;
Assisting in the preparation and finalization of as-built drawings, electrical/instrument location plant, cable tray layout, instrument schematics, loop drawings and layout drawings;
Complying and supporting Quality Management systems, processes, procedures and provide feedback.
The successful candidate is required to:
Have a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering);
Have a proficient Intermediate level with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook);
Be able to work autonomously and collectively as a team to meet project goals;
Technical/practical skills in most of the following areas:
Low voltage and medium voltage motor control
Design and specification of MCC's, Switchboards, VFD's, Soft Starters
PLC Control systems design and programming
Supervisory systems design and configuration
Process Instrumentation - selection and application of instruments
Have very good attention to detail;
Have a commitment to strive for excellence.
