An opportunity has become available with our client for a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Brisbane Urban Development Division and immediately make an impact on existing projects.
An integral part of this role will be to nurture strong working relationships with our clients and build the Urban Development Team by leading and supervising staff on major projects.
Reporting to the Urban Development Manager the role will be responsible for the management of projects comprising of major sub-divisional residential and industrial developments, co-ordination with authorities and preparation of specifications. You will gain exposure to business development and utilise the companys key business relationships to build your own client portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) combined with a minimum of 8 years local experience preferably in South East Queensland within the discipline of Urban and Land Development.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordination of internal designers and external sub contractors to ensure deadlines are met on authority submissions
Provide clear technical advice with due consideration to factors impacting project outcomes
Preparation of contract documentation, liaising with clients and authorities to ensure project quality
Ability and interest in training and developing graduate engineers, designers, and drafters within the business unit
Managing all facets of projects from inception to completion including all associated liaisons
Preparing ????? ?????, contract documentation and writing clear and concise reports
Responsible for financial aspects of projects
Selection Criteria:
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles and industry regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid capabilities in design, documentation and project management
