A leading mid-tier civil contractor with a solid history of operating and constructing a diverse range of projects across South East Queensland are looking to expand their civil engineering team. This client has a strong and loyal client base of both Private & Government clients, ensuring new and repeat business. This contractor have over 40 years of experience in Alliance & Joint Venture partnerships, due to excellent reputation in the market and holding a F6 pre-qualification to tender on DMR projects up to the value of $100M.

Due to the awarding of several projects around Queensland, the contractor is seeking to employ a full time Civil Survey Manager to be a key part of their highly experienced civil engineering and construction team. The projects will be of various size and technicality, but predominantly contracts on behalf of the Dept. Main Roads and other local councils and governments.

As the  Civil Survey Manager you will have up to 7 surveyors reporting to you and other staff related to the survey team i.e. survey assistants. Not only will you be expectd to train and manage your reports but also to give a high level of technical advice to other construction staff

To be successful in your application, ideally you will have:

Degree in Surveying or its equivalent from a recognised institute/university.
At least 5 years experience in a senior surveyor or managers role within a contractor or recognisable company.
Knowledge of Main Road specifications will be highly desirable
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Proven ability of managing and training other surveyors.
Knowledge of surveying on projects that include roads, bridges, retaining walls, concrete structures and earthworks.
