Design & Build are currently inviting applications from Building Surveyors who are interested in working for a regional council, located in north east Victoria. This Shire, renowned for its natural beauty and vibrant community life has an immediate requirement for a Municipal Building Surveyor on a permanent basis.
As the Municipal Building Surveyor, working within the Planning & Environment Team, you will be tasked with delivering ????? ????? range of services within Building Control whilst shaping the direction this council takes in its long term objective towards building a sustainable community.
Duties will include:
- Managing and delivering ????? ????? of building services, including; building / occupancy permits and building notices
- Mandatory building inspections
- Managing and delivering ????? ?????
- Attending to telephone and front counter enquiries from the general public
- Complaint management
- Providing after hours emergency building assistance
- Developing, guiding and mentoring ????? ????? of staff
- Managing and developing various audit programs including; Essential Safety Measures, Fire and Swimming Pool Safety
Requirements include:
- Ideally registered or working towards registration as a Building Surveyor with the Building Practitioners Board
- Victorian driving license
