RecruitR is pleased to announce a vacancy for a Maintenance Manager with a recognised Employer of Choice.

Position Purpose:
The purpose of this Maintenance Manager position is to develop, implement & review the overall Maintenance Strategy ensuring ????? ????? of plant whilst controlling costs.
The duties & responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
Managing maintenance performance of all mobile and fixed plant that is associated with the site
Leading & developing a team of Superintendents
Ensuring ????? ????? work environment is provided; promote safety awareness and safe work practices to eliminate accidents
Monitoring ????? ????? weekly reports from each area to analyze the causes of downtime and develop recommendations to prevent this downtime.
Compiling, reviewing, reconciling and controlling manning and financial budgets to ensure the maintenance costs and manning levels operate at maximum efficiency.
Engaging and managing contractors & consultants as required
Developing departmental budgets
Position Requirements:
We require a high calibre professional for this senior management role. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of managing overall maintenance activities and maintenance teams at a large open pit site.
Specific skills & experience required include:
Demonstrated experience in managing maintenance teams
The ability to communicate at all levels
Tertiary qualifications in a related field
Solid experience in budgeting & cost control
An ability to think at a strategic level with a holistic understanding of an operation
