Social Worker / Psychologist
An opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated team player to:
•Facilitate the development of programs, procedures and policy in schools to support students and the school community, with a focus on prevention, early intervention and continuity of care; and to undertake counselling as required.
•Be a member of a professional team within the district providing a comprehensive and integrated framework from a broad range of support agencies to respond to the needs of students and their families, with an increasing emphasis on preventative strategies and approaches.
•This position will be based in Wallan/Benalla or Seymour.
•Standard Public Service conditions apply.
•Successful applicants are subject to a satisfactory Police Record check.
•If appointed from outside DEECD, successful applicants will be required to complete a statutory pre-employment health declaration.
•Current driver’s licence is essential.
•Private travel in a vehicle which is comprehensively insured may be required in order that the duties indicated above can be carried out efficiently and effectively.
•Ability to work effectively as part of a regional and network team.
