Our client, a Local Government in the North-East Region of Victoria is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their Engineering ????? ?????.
This regional council North-East of Melbourne has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join their busy Roads and Drainage team delivering ????? ????? and infrastructure packages within the council area.
An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably experienced Project Manager, ideally with a civil engineering ????? ?????, to join the Assets & Infrastructure team.
Our client is in a rebuilding stage, ranging from damaged and destroyed infrastructure to a variety of newly funded projects. Projects include, but is not limited to, roads, bridges, paths and landscaping works. This particular Council’s capital works program is already significantly larger than previous years and as a result a number of further projects are expected.
Key responsibilities include preparation of documents, technical reports, specifications, procurement and managing delivery of a variety of projects.
This role will involve:
Liaising with community groups/agencies/committees
Project scoping and planning
Ensure permits / consents are obtained
Tender production, review and selection
Management of external contractors and third party workers
Cost control and budgeting
Progress payments and quality control
Contract administration
The position is suited to a qualified Civil Engineer with extensive experience as a Project Manager with proven relevant experience and strong customer service skills. Enthusiastic candidates with good technical and personal skills, and attention to detail would be ideal.
