Telecommunications PABX Technician/Engineer

    Our organisation has an opportunity for a skilled voice & data field technician to join our growing team. The position involves the installation and configuration of a range of NEC Voice Servers & Key Systems, including network solutions which can involve voice & data cabling.
     
    A solid understanding of NEC Key Telephone Systems & Voice Servers is preferred.
     
    Applicants that have experience and an understanding of VoIP, CTi, Voice mail and IP technologies will be highly considered.
     
    Technician Responsibilities 
    • Installation of NEC Key Telephone Systems, Voice Servers and associated equipment
    • Adds, moves and changes
    • Line jumpering
    • Service, maintenance & fault finding
    • Installation of phone and data equipment
    • Installation of Cat 3/5e/6/7, Fibre & Coax Cabling
    • Completion of all necessary records and reports
    • Pre Sales assistance.
     
    Technician Requirements 
    • Experience in the above responsibilities
    • Knowledge of NEC Voice solutions
    • Knowledge of Data/IP solutions
    • Knowledge of cabling solutions
    • Current ACA Licence
    • Current Drivers Licence
    • Computer Literate
    • Excellent written and verbal skills
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Ability to work un-supervised
     
    The successful applicant must be able to communicate in a professional manner both with internal staff and external clients, work autonomously & possibly be able to provide training to a junior/trainee technician.
