Manufacturing Engineer

Flexco is a global manufacturer of mechanical conveyor belt fasteners. With headquarters in the U.S., we have been in business for over 100 years. We are currently seeking to hire a Manufacturing ????? ????? our Baulkham Hills facility.

Provide technical engineering ????? ????? maintain and improve manufacturing ????? ????? of products at Flexco Aust. Support the modification and documentation of current products that often require only slight modification to meet the customers’ needs. Insure the accuracy of product drawings and manufacturing ????? ?????.

1.       Maintain and/or produce accurate engineering ????? ????? support manufacturing, sourcing and minor modification of existing products.

2.       Work with internal manufacturing ????? ????? equipment and service providers to improve existing manufacturing ????? ????? initiate additional manufacturing ????? ?????.

3.       Work with external customers and internal sales and customer service personnel to understand how to appropriately make minor modifications to existing products to meet special needs.

4.       Address all product quality issues using Correct Preventive Action Request (CPAR) system to identify root cause of problem and ensure future quality.

5.       Ensure development of quality documentation including work instructions, routings, inspection sheets, etc.

6.       Implement and maintain an Engineering ????? ????? (ECO) system.

7.       Coordinate field testing in Australia.

8.       Participate in Continuous Improvement programs and suggestion system as required.

9.       Work on special projects as assigned by the Managing Director.

Qualifications:

Mechanical Engineering ????? ????? equivalent. Minimum three years experience as manufacturing ????? ?????. Knowledge of conveyor belt systems and how they work with mechanical fasteners and/or belt cleaners is desirable. Knowledge of, and experience with, metals and/or rubber manufacturing ????? ?????, processes and production technology a plus. Good computer skills including MS Office, CAD experience required (SolidWorks preferred). Must be able to interact and communicate well with manufacturing ????? ?????, customers and suppliers.
