Children’s Services Community Development Officer
Bankstown Community Resource Group invites written applications to the above position. The worker is required to facilitate children’s services interagencies and manage projects that resource and support families and children’s services in the Bankstown LGA.
Essential:
- Associate Dip in child studies / Degree in Community Welfare or related field or equivalent;
- Minimum 3 years experience in children’s services or community sector;
- Demonstrated experience in project development, implementation, and financial management;
- High level written and computer skills;
- High level oral communication skills and able to facilitate meetings and take minutes,
- Sensitivity to issues affecting children with disabilities, and those from CALD and ATSI backgrounds and their families;
- Current NSW Driver’s License and access to comprehensively insured car for work purposes;
- Understanding of and commitment to EEO, Access and Equity and OH&S
- Two work related referees
Desirable
- Knowledge of the LGA
It is an offence under the NSW Child Protection (prohibited Employment) Act for a person convicted of a serious sex offence to apply for this position.
