Natural Health company, based in Balmain seeks a very experienced, hands-on, super all-round Accounts Manager for a sole charge position.

Synergy Natural Products manufactures and markets the well established "Synergy Natural" brand of “Green Superfoods” through grocery, health food and pharmacy channels. We also import and market the popular "Natracare" range of organic cotton tampons, pads and liners.

We seek an Accounts Manager, who also preferably has an interest in natural health. This role takes responsibility for the accounting and administration tasks within our small, close nit office and includes but is not limited to processing key account orders (dispatch is out-sourced), accounts receivable and payables, banking and bank account reconciliation, together with financial reconciliations and reporting on both a regular and ad-hoc basis. The Accounts Manager shall also support the GM with Sales and Marketing activities and the MD with production, import & export co-ordination and documentation as well as overseeing the company's administration operations when the MD is overseas.

This sole charge position requires a keen eye for detail and a proactive, self-starter attitude as well as strong numerical, computer & communication skills.  You will be a person of action and strong business ethics who possesses a “hands-on” approach, is comfortable working on their own as well as in a small team, and pursues excellence in their work.

The position is offered as a renewable 12 months contract. Remuneration is up to $35 per hour dependant on training and experience.  We would also consider the possibility of splitting the position into two part-time positions.

Desirable Attributes:

- able to work autonomously and multi-task

- experience working within a small business (as opposed to a corporate structure)

- quick learner with the ability to adapt to changes & maintain flexibility

- management, accounting or bookkeeping qualifications

- experience in Word, Excel, Power-point & MYOB or similar accounting package.

- sufficiently IT savvy to be able to remedy basic problems or know how to get them fixed.

- able to communicate with our distributors and our warehouses in a professional & timely manner

- strong organisational skills

- mature individual looking for a new challenge

- interest & experience in the Health Food industry a big plus.

We seek someone that will fit comfortably within the positive, friendly atmosphere we currently enjoy. You would be working closely with and alongside our GM/Sales Manager, Customer Services Manager and the MD.
