My client is a highly regarded international design consultancy providing architectural, interior design & project management services. The company has offices worldwide including Bahrain, Dubai, Bangkok, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Malaysia, Singapore, Melbourne and Sydney.
Projects are high profile and cover a wide range of sectors including hotels, resorts, civic centers, urban planning, government, museums, convention centers, shopping centers and public spaces.
A Design Director of architecture position has opened up with the Companies Bahrain office and as a result the company is currently recruiting a highly experienced and talented Architect to take on this exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Lead a team of talented international designers and CAD specialists
Develop and maintain a project schedule for each project
Recruitment of team members based on the needs of each phase of the project
Serve as primary contact with client and consultants
To be considered for this senior role you will have the following qualifications / skills / experience:
A Masters Degree or Professional Degree in Architecture
Registered Architect in country of origin
Extensive experience as a Registered Architect including significant experience in the Middle East or working on International projects
Exceptional design and project management skills in various sized projects in particular civic and commercial projects
Knowledge of all phases of design i.e. concept, schematic, design, documentation, tender, on-site observations, shop drawing approvals, admin and compliance checks
Strong communication skills
Ability to build excellent client relationships and understanding of business dealings in the Middle East
