Our Client
We are seeking expressions of interest from certified Electrical Linesmen for ongoing work in Tasmania.
Our client, a Tasmanian Business that works very closely with the Power Provider, is looking to boost its workforce due to unprecedented demand for its quality construction services. This company is forecasting long ongoing growth and is going to need numerous staff to meet demand.
The Role on offer
The role will see you utilising your training as a qualified power linesman to initially maintain the existing network and then in time building a new network. You will have the advantage of working with a partner organisation that is one of the largest specialised operators in this field of activity who value and reward its people. This role will see you based in Tasmania permanently for the next three years at a minimum. This role initially will be distribution focussed not transmission but that will change down the track.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous overhead power lines construction experience up to 500KV
- Rigging qualifications - the nature of the work means that you will need to be qualified and confident working at heights and will use modern climbing techniques and equipment to assist you in your job
- Live line glove and barrier essential
- Certificate 111 in ESI (distribution)
- Clean Driving Licence
- Asset condition inspections
- Conductor preparation and stringing
- Installing anchors and guy wires
- Pole preparation and erection
- Temporary earthing.
- Conductor replacement & repair
