Tunnel Design Engineer > India

This is a key project within Northern India working on the US $540 million Rohtang Tunnel Project. My client requires an experienced Tunnel Design Engineer with solid exposure to large tunnelling schemes, preferably within mountainous areas. The tunnel will be 8.8km long on the existing Manali to Leh road which experiences heavy snowfall in the winter season.

Based in Manali, this is mid length 16 month posting in a popular holidaying are in Himalayan India. You will be based on site and tasked with reviewing and altering ????? ?????.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering
• A minimum of 10 years experience in the design of tunnels.
• Experience working in mountainous areas.
• Experience in the design of tunnel M&E as well as geotechnics.

Responsibilities:

• One of two design experts on site.
• Lead design team of local staff.
• Liaison with other team members and clients.
