This busy, rapidly growing Concrete Footing Construction Company is looking to expand its team!

Offering ????? ????? service within the residential building trade, from site levelling and clearance, foundation digging through to slab pouring using reinforced concrete ,this expanding firm works with small firms and individuals, with the main customers being some of the biggest home builders in South Australia.. With a full complement of resources and in-house expertise on hand, this successful and well-known South Australian company completing a vast array of Residential, Civil and Rural Concrete Projects year on year, has an opening available for the key role of Estimator.

 The Estimator will understand the detailed process of earthworks & footing construction and full construction process and specification requirements, being responsible for estimating the volumes & steel take-off scheduling which will include the foundations of approximately 1000 homes per annum.  

The Estimator will have a thorough appreciation for the whole of construction process with proven experience with estimating earthworks, footings and suspended slabs, including complex projects such as cellars and basements.  

Duties will include the following: 

• Site works & residential footings estimating  
  
• Scheduling steel for a job  
  
• Administering ????? ????? to relevant suppliers and sub contractors and post orders  
  
• Amending the quote according to the requirements of clients or builders  
  
• Variation claims  
  
• Define the scope of work amended and charge for additional works cost which are not included in previous submitted quote  
  
• Liaise with sub contractors and supervisors to keep update with site work progress, order materials and solve site issues  
  
• Communicate with builders for any amendment on site  
  
• Keep records of stock returned from sites and draw from stock if materials can be reused  
  
• Schedule steel delivery dates  
  
• Liaise with steel suppliers for steel delivery time, delivery date change and steel missing issues  
  
• Provide amended footings plans from Engineer to steel supplier to provide accurate steel materials to the jobs  
  
• Prepare weekly steel issues summaries  
  

 The Estimator will have a thorough appreciation for the whole of construction process with proven experience with estimating earthworks, footings and suspended slabs, including complex projects such as cellars and basements. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and CAD, the Estimator must be able to read and estimate from engineering ????? ????? and will have gained appropriate qualifications for this role.  

The Estimator will work closely with the Contracts Administrator, with this excellent career role delivering ample opportunity to grow within the business.   

There is competitive remuneration offered with a highly-experienced candidate offered a superior Base Salary and Super package.

Ideally you will be available for an immediate start, after finalising any required notice period in your current role. However considerations to start date will be provided under certain circumstances.
