A professional and rising Asian Property Development firm is looking for a General Manager to head up their Suzhou office. It’s an exciting opportunity for excellent individuals to get the thrill of starting up an office and being the person in charge for your own domain.
 
This company does residential, commercial, and lifestyle architecture, and also has interests in shipping and logistics.  They believe in the balance of work and life and have been a great success over the past 50 years.
 
Responsibilities
  • To drive the local business, business development and implementation of strategic decisions in the region
  • To drive localization of strategy, products, standards, processes and protocol
  • To lead, supervise and support the management of all Project JV in the region, and make decisions on corrective action where necessary to ensure alignment with strategic decisions
  • To strive for excellent performance of local business, in terms of alignment with Head Office and strategic decisions, successful localization of people, strategy, products, standards, process and protocol, as well as business sustainability and profitability.
  • To present a positive regional presence of the company and a strong local network.
  • To strive for sustainable and profitable local business performance
  • Always aiming to seek for win-win solution, and to contribute positively to the welfare of the local society and people.
  • Relevant university degree
  • Proven 10 year+ experience and knowledge in the local market.
  • Local presence and network. Rich connection with local government officials is a big plus
  • Proven local network
  • Proven general management experience with market leaders in real estate.
  • All-round knowledge of real estate – product, project management and operation, but not necessarily specific professional expertise.
  • Promote participation in decision making process.
  • Good people management, strong business acumen, market sensitivity, continual learning, resourceful.
  • Always be able meet the deadlines
  • A holistic and open mindset, eager to learn.
  • Attention to details.
  • Mandarin is required, English is preferred but not a must
