Proactively supervise the implementation of the Department’s significant reform program within the work team, including the implementation of the Department’s new child focussed vision, case management systems/practices/standards and service delivery framework which meet the Department’s required outcomes.
Provide leadership, management and supervision of the delivery of high quality child protection services to clients and communities through the development of appropriate service responses (in conjunction with the Child Safety Service Centre Manager), to meet the identified needs of clients, including children, young people, families, carers, the community and the public and non-government sectors.
Foster a culture and philosophy of frontline service delivery, cooperation, team work, high quality people management, commitment to excellence and a professional ethic which ensures the service team continues to meet the Department’s priorities.
Ensure that all members of the service team implement and maintain the department's client case management systems/practices/standards, planning and review processes with an emphasis on the involvement of children, young people, families and their carers.
Allocate, prioritise and perform work tasks in accordance with departmental procedures and statutory, financial and administrative delegations and actively participate in quality assurance reviews of the Child Safety Service Centre.
Ensure that staff and other resources are effectively managed so as to give effect to relevant legislation, government policies and contemporary best practice standards including the development, implementation and evaluation of appropriate programs in collaboration with the Zonal Training Coordinator and other training and development specialists.
Provide expert advice and decisions on complex casework matters to assist in the co-ordination of appropriate client services, decision making by courts, and the formulation and implementation of recommendations by SCAN (Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Teams).
Actively participate as a member of the Child Safety Service Centre Management Team.
Develop enduring ????? ????? partnerships between the public and non-government sectors to enhance cross-sectoral participation, training and development and the delivery and co-ordination of local child protection services.
